Abstract
The recent excavations of two Roman cemeteries in the Yvelines and in the Seine-Saint-Denis department, have largely contributed to our knowledge of inhumation ceneteries of this period. This paper aims to highlight the plurality of the funerary deposits and the materials used, the complexity of the assemblages and the general organisational model observed. It also highlights the elements specific to small cemeteries which distinguish them from the vast burial grounds usually encountered during this period.
