Abstract
Large-scale excavation of an Early Medieval rural site at Bonneuil-en-France (Val-d’Oise), carried out in 2010 (Inrap) and 2016-2017 (Eveha), revealed a vast settlement which included several graves dispersed amidst domestic buildings. A funerary context is unquestionable for the majority of the graves, but several cases of remains deposited in storage pits suggest unconventional corpse-treatment practices within this population group.
