Abstract
Excavations carried out in 2016 at Frépillon (ZAC des Épineaux 3, Sector A) revealed not only a farming settlement dating from the end of the 6th to the mid-1st century BC but also numerous features dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The latter, comprised primarily of furrows sometimes combined with planting pits, are related to the cultivation of orchards, vineyards, woodland etc. Archaeology, incorporating landscape and archival analysis, provides a new approach to the rural history of Frépillon and its farming community.
