Abstract
An archaeological evaluation carried out over 57 ha before the development of an commercial park at Dhuisy "Les Effaneaux" in Seine-et-Marne has led to the discovery of a number of sites some dating to the Middle Palaeolithic. The latter are spread over large areas in Pleistocene loess stratigraphic sequences. This paper focuses on the chronostratigraphic context, on the radiometric dates and the technical characteristics of the lithic industries of Dhuisy within the context of northern France. We will also discuss the methods of evaluation over large surfaces, identification and characterisation of these types of deeply buried remains.
