Jean-Yves DUFOUR, Olivier BAUCHET AN EARLY-MODERN COUNTRY HOUSE (17th TO 18th CENTURY) AT IVRY-SUR-SEINE (VAL-DE-MARNE)

Abstract

At the beginning of the 17th century, a family of Parisian aristocrats built a country house in the style of the day in the Saint Frambourg quarter of Ivry-sur-Seine. Excavation and extensive archival research have been carried out on the main building of this residence. Changes in lay-out, furnishings and owners are all indicators of transformations to the Paris suburbs.
