VILLIERS-LE-BEL "ROND-POINT DU VERGER" (VAL-D’OISE):
two Late Iron Age occupations

Abstract

An excavation carried out during the spring of 2009 by the departmental archaeology service of the Val d-Oise has brought to light a rural establishment dating to the Late Iron Age at "Rond-Point du Verger" at Viliers-le-Bel (Val-d’Oise). The main phase of occupation is characterised by a ditched enclosure with abundant finds. This paper aims to overview the results of this excavation and if particular the different activities of the site during the last few centuries BC.
