Muriel BOULEN A SYNTHESIS OF POLLEN ANALYSIS FOR THE ROMAN PERIOD |
Abstract
Long-term archaeological fieldwork in the sector around Marne-la-Vallée over the last ten years has provided an opportunity to systematize palynological studies of sites dating from the Roman occupation. The environmental picture that emerges is clearly different from other parts of Île-de-France at this period. The evidence suggests a particularly forested environment and this is a specific feature of the sector in the Roman period.
