Julien AVINAIN THE NEW ARCHAEOLOGICAL MAP OF PARIS (R&CAP) |
Abstract
The collaborative research project R&CAP (Referential and cartography of Parisian archaeology) was initiated in 2017. During the two three-year periods from 2018 to 2023 which followed this probationary year, the project’s objective was to establish a referential corpus for Parisian archaeology. A necessary re-examination of available data accompanied digitisation, given that more than 20 years had passed since the important work on Paris carried out by Didier Busson and published as a volume of the Carte archéologique de la Gaule. The data contained in this new archaeological map are now available thanks to deposits in HAL, NAKALA and la Fabrique Numérique du Passé.
