Abstract
Recently discovered rural La Tène sites in the Crould Bassin (Val-d’Oise and Seine-Saint-Denis) have provided a large enough corpus for a first overview of the occupation and activities of this area. The study of animal bone sheds light on dietary practices and on the animal husbandry of the local Celtic population. Animal husbandry mainly provided meat, mainly pork but also caprines. This evolution differs from what has been observed in Northeastern Gaul. The animal bone also shows particular practices such as the deposit of whole or portioned carcasses and by the leftovers of commensality.
