SETTLEMENTS DATING TO THE MIDDLE AND LATE LA TÈNE
AT GONESSE "ZAC DES TULIPES NORD" (VAL-D’OISE)

Abstract

Two excavations carried out in 2008 and 2009 have brought to light two rural establishments distanced by about 400 m and found to the north of a first settlement dating to the end of the Hallstatt / beginning of La Tène illustrating a continuing occupation of this area. The first enclosure covering a small area dating to the Middle La Tène is built to the north of the second establishment which is of similar dimensions. This new installation is extended several times until the end of the Early Roman period. The different studies of these two settlements (pottery, animal bone, cereals, etc) indicate consumption modes and dietary evolution. The presence of animal or human deposits illustrate yet again the ritual practices of the period.
